I’m a brand new slow runner can I still come along?

Yes absolutely, everyday new runners join our crews, many walk part of the route to get used to it.

What pace do people run at?

People run at totally their own pace, there’s no start claxon, no timing chip! It’s up to you, whatever your mood and feet are feeling like.

Does it run every day of the week?

This varies between crews, head over to our individual crew pages to find out the specific details so you don’t miss a thing.

Do I have to run as part of a group?

No, we don’t insist you run as a group at all, totally up to you. Everyone fires off together but then people run at their own pace, you determine you own gas pedal. We do however ask that you strongly consider, not running on your own.

What’s the minimum age?

You need to be 16 to join an EBRC run on your own, anyone under 16 must have a parent or guardian with them.

Can I run with my dog?

As long as it’s on a good lead and you take total responsibility as the owner of your four-legged friend!

How can running help my mental health?

There’s some cool science and facts on why running and especially running outdoors in a group can have such a boost to your mental health. Here are a few of the perks:

Why is it in the morning, it’s blooming early?

Even though getting up at 6am with Early Bird Run Crew is tough there is a myriad of benefits to running in the morning, from a flood of stress busting hormones boosting mood and productivity to increased melatonin release giving increased quality of sleep that night.

Is the start and finish place always the same?

Yes, the route will loop back to the start point, and we always try and welcome our runners back with a cheer!

Is the route always the same?

We have a bunch of pre-planned routes. We change the route around the different seasons, making the most of things like sunrises or street lighting in the winter as well as having a different route each day to the previous day, just to mix it up!
